Lorelei for FIAMM : the development of a new sound device for the electric car

Lorelei team worked with the global leading manufacturer of car horns FIAMM to design sounds for the electric cars. Following the growing public concerc about safety and silence in the electric car industry, FIAMM decided to invest in researching how the car of the future will sounds like. Lorelei worked as a consultancy for developing the software prototype of the new device, and what’s more important, we designed the sound of the future. In November 2010 we were invited to present the case at the annual Audio Branding congress in Hamburg. Read the full case history on our page or our blog.

Lorelei for Hypnos : the design of the sonic bed Foneydia

Lorelei worked as consultant for the SME Hypnos to design the prototype of the sonic bed Foneydia.
We designed the sound diffusion through the bed wooden structure with the use of magnetostrictive transducers, thus conveying a total immersive listening experience. The sound content, Foneydia, is based on the brainwave entrainment phenomenon with Alpha waves.
That is, the value of the well-being and the mind-body equilibrium in the most intimate and affective place, the bedroom.

Lorelei for X2 Architecture : Sonic Rooms

Lorelei designed the interactive product sound installation Stanze sonore. The objects within the room and the room itself were transformed in a wide sounding board reacting to the soundscape’s noise level. First inconsciously then fully aware of the underlying game, the vistitors entered a world were every object, and the rooms themselves, responded to their presence changing the space soundscape.
